Kyneton played their final matches of the season with only the Division One team having a win beating Runner-Up Cleeland United 4-2 in Dandenong. Rangers had a very competitive season with the Division One, Three and Four teams all finishing in the top five and the Division Five team finishing with a lot of credit only loosing twice in the second half of the year.
The clubs depth has certainly been tested with the boys having their worse run with injuries in many a day through the second half of the season which has drained all teams due to injuries in Division One compounding through the rest of the teams. Kyneton can be very proud of the way they conducted themselves on and off the field this year. Rangers did not have any player suspended out of all the teams for the entire year.

Kyneton D1 vs Cleeland Utd

29thd August 2010. Rangers were looking to grab a win against second placed Cleeland and came away with a strong 45-2 victory in heavy conditions. Rangers dominated from the outset and scored first when Ryan Cole cut the ball back to Nick Allan to smash his shot into the net from eight metres. Kyneton's second goal showed some real precision when Nick Morley's perfectly weighted cross allowed Cole to head past a helpless keeper. Rangers looked to play attacking football at every opportunity and chances fell to Callan 'Dusty' Field, Zac Plant, Sean 'Shorty' Malloy and Cole who all tested the keeper in the first half.
Rangers third goal came straight after the break when Plant swung a corner in for Sean Greer to powerfully head home at the back post. Cleeland showed their class to fight back with two goals to put Rangers under pressure with fifteen minutes remaining before teenagers Jake 'Chick' McBride fed the pass to sixteen year old Nick Matricardi to coolly slot Rangers to a 4-2 win.
The victory gave Rangers their tenth win of the year with four draws and four losses. A season to be proud of. Well done lads.
